Just wanted to drop a line today and remind people about a holiday risk to puppies and dogs. We had Paola chew through an extension cord this morning that was plugged in to keep ice off their water. It was pretty scary for me, as we could have lost her to that. Remember puppies like to chew, and some dogs have developed that bad habit such as Paola has. What I did to fix it for her today since the cord can not be moved out of her reach is I used Armored BX cable and re-wired the whole length. Now she can’t chew through the steel to get to the wires. It’s best to keep wires and cords out of reach, but when that is not possible, make it impossible for the dog to get to the wires. Have a safe and happy holiday season!
